IS452 Change Management for Digital Transformation

Students will learn how to plan, implement, and manage organizational changes in preparation
for digital transformation. It will provide participants with a solid framework for systematically
identifying areas of digital transformation that require change management. Students will learn
how to manage their organization's transformation journey by following instructions. They will be
able to tailor a robust change management plan to address the current issues and prepare their
organization for future challenges by applying the principles of change management frameworks.
In this course, students will learn about digital talent management, principles of effective
organizational change management, vision and case for change, key stakeholder management,
communication and training management, and sustaining culture change.
IS453 Technology Trends in Digital Transformation
Credits: 3 (3,0,1) Prerequisites: IS450
The course offers a comprehensive description of the latest technological trends adopted in the
digital transformation frameworks. Recognizing the rapid pace of change and its implications for
businesses, the course delves into the best practices for adopting the latest technological trends
in digital transformation. Topics covered include technology frameworks that assist in identifying
key areas for digitization, encompassing strategies, core processes, and technology. The course
also provides insights into the contextual factors influencing this transformation and the essential
elements for achieving success in the digital age. Additionally, students will gain insights into the
economics of innovation, technology, and market disruptions.
IS454 Product Lifecycle Management for Digital Transformation
Credits: 3(3,0,1) Prerequisites: IS450
To stimulate business growth, enterprises are increasingly relying on digital innovation and
investments. This course provides an overview of the current and future approaches to
successfully orchestrate various stakeholders and advance digital business; digital product
management plays a critical role. Also, issues related to transitioning from a project-centric to a
product-centric model are discussed. Student will be exposed to the significant adjustments
required to the current business models to discover the fundamentals of product management,
the business model canvas, pricing and segmentation, the digital product life cycle.
IS463 Applied Data Science
Credits: 3(3,0,1) Prerequisites: CS210 and STAT101
Modern organizations deal with huge amounts of complex multisource data that may contain
useful evidence. The decision makers may face real problems to analyze such data to come out
with accurate decisions. Therefore, applied data sciences are there to help leaders analyze the
data and extract valuable indicators for decision-making purposes. This course provides the
students with the essential knowledge, as well as, the practical skills of applied data sciences to
be used in various business domains; and it will incorporate the statistical skills, programming skills
such as Python, and machine-learning algorithms, to enhance the hands-on skills of students.
IS465 Geographic Information Systems
Credits: 3(3,0,1) Prerequisites: Department Consent
The course covers methods of constructing a Geographical Information System (GIS).Students
acquire the necessary skills to prepare intelligent maps with spatial databases for parcel mapping,
planning, zoning, facility mapping, creating buffer zones, slope analysis, and neighborhood and
zone analysis, using CAD map software packages.
