               HRM301 Human Resource Management
               Credits: 3 (3,0,0) Prerequisites: BUS 201
The course is designed to demonstrate that HRM is more than just hiring new employees and
keeping records; it is a central and strategic organizational activity of increasing complexity and
importance. This course takes a practical view that integrates the contributions of the behavioral
sciences with the technical aspects of implementing the HRM functions in the real business world.
This course is crucial because all managers play an integral role in carrying out HR policies and
practices in their organization, regardless of their specialization; they have to deal with their
organization’s human resources department. This course will expose students to the important
functions of HRM including human resources planning and staffing, job analysis, recruitment and
selection, training and development, performance appraisal, rewards and benefits, industrial
relations, and employee safety and health.

HRM302 Saudi Employment Law and Industrial Relations
               Credits: 3 (3,0,0) Prerequisites: BUS 231
Labor Laws constitute an essential component of Labor Policy in Saudi Arabia at imparting certain
basic rights to workers as enshrined in our constitution. Labor laws give structure to the
workplace; define what employees and employers are responsible for and, in some cases, outline
regulations to give both parties necessary direction for resolving workplace conflict.
