               Introduction
               In  the  21st  century,  the  role  of  translation  has  become  more  significant  in  the  fast-paced  world
               governed by technological change and considered one of the most effective means of building cross
               cultural  bridges.  In  our  multilingual  context,  translation  is  necessary  to  spread  new  information,
               knowledge, and ideas across the world. Recently, translation studies and industry has widened the
               scope of translation to become a much complex process that must be done by professionals equipped
               with  the  required  skills  to  ensure  quality  and  accurate  results.  The  role  that  translation  plays  in
               everyday life is getting more and more prominent thus the increased needs for more translation
               services. This is reflected in the fast growth rate of employment of translators today in the globally
               emerged markets.

               Program Vision
               The Translation Program aspires to produce global citizens capable of shaping the future by facilitating
               communication across languages and cultures.


               Program Mission
               The Translation Program aims to enhance students' translation competence by refining their language
               proficiency, interlingual communication skills, and critical thinking abilities. It aspires to equip students
               with  state-of-the-art  technology,  research  skills,  and  dedication  to  professional  and  academic
               development to meet the demands of the job market.

               Program Goals
                    ●  Enhance students’ understanding of the structure and functionality of the English
                        language, preparing them for diverse communication contexts.
                    ●  Equip students with the ability to comprehend diverse translation approaches and apply
                        them professionally in translating texts across various fields.
                    ●  To cultivate students' communication, critical thinking, analytical, and
                        technological/digital skills, as well as promote research and professional development
                        competencies.

               Program Learning Outcomes
               Upon successful completion of the Bachelor of Arts in Translation, graduates are expected to be able
               to:
                  K1. Demonstrate an understanding of the English language in use and exhibit awareness of cultural
                      and cross-linguistic variations.
                  K2. Outline major approaches to translation and recognize their application in different fields of
                      human knowledge and experience.

                  S1. Apply critical thinking, research and life-long learning skills within the practice of translation.
                  S2. Display linguistic and communication competence in both oral and written forms.
                  S3.  Exhibit  an  ability  to  effectively  utilize  a  range  of  tools  and  software,  including  AI-enabled
                      solutions,  for  terminology  management,  audiovisual  translation,  and  Computer  Assisted
                      Translation (CAT).

                  V1. Display integrity and ethical responsibilities in academic and professional settings.
                  V2. Illustrate an ability to work independently and within a team.
