Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Bachelor of Arts in Language and Media, graduates are expected
to be able to:
K1. Display knowledge and thorough understanding of the English language; its nature,
structure, function, history, and usage in different contexts.
K2: Demonstrate thorough understanding of the theoretical, critical perspectives and practical
facets of media production and communication, including AI technologies and digital media
tools.
S1: Critically analyze media texts from a range of genres, platforms, and cultural perspectives,
demonstrating critical thinking, research and media literacy skills.
S2: Produce effective media content in a range of social, professional and academic contexts
across various digital platforms, using appropriate language and digital media and AI
technology.
V1: Demonstrate knowledge of social and cultural ramifications of media communication and
adherence to ethical, professional and legal concerns involved in the creation and
dissemination of media.
