quarter of 2022 INTELLIGENCE with the development of TECHNOLOGY. Can someone tell me what
they think defines artificial intelligence? Artificial intelligence (AI) is defined as the
simulation of human intellectual intelligence by machines. Hmmm.. let’s all take a
moment to let that sink in. The human INTELLECT, WISDOM, COMPREHENSION;
being mimicked or simulated by A MACHINE! Meaning, the possibility of human as
a whole being replaced by machines that are human-like. By the end of my speech,
every one present here is going to become frightfully aware of the extents of danger
the development of AI can reach. The development of artificial intelligence (AI)
can alarmingly manipulate reality, exploit genetics, and automate the future of the
youth; making it dangerous for the mankind.
Let me begin with my first argument. Would any of you like to be seen in situations
or videos or pictures you have NEVER been in? Absolutely not! This is what the
dangerous AI is capable of achieving. Published by Matt Growcoot in PetaPixel, a
photographer was able to create SUCH REALISTIC portraits of people who do not
exit, that if I showed you one of those pictures, TRUST ME, you would believe it’s
a real person. Being able to create such intense deepfakes of people who don’t
even exist, gives me chills to think about how AI can be used to make ‘real’ fakes
of me doing something I did not do. Surveillance footages and crime evidences can
so easily be manipulated by using AI. Not only might a criminal getaway with their
crimes, but an innocent person who has been AI’ed into ‘evidences’ may get into
trouble.
Moving on, let’s talk about AI in the field of genetics. I will quote this and I want all
of you to ponder over it for just 10 seconds; “AI-designed protein awakens silenced
genes, one by one”. Yes, I will repeat it; the AI developed in the field of genetic
engineering is able to provoke genes in people that were originally recessive. This was
a research article published by the UW Medicine. It talked about how AI technology
was developed into controlling gene activity. DO WE REALLY WANT to have people
among us who are NOT themselves, but are someone whose genes were actually
manipulated and edited in a laboratory? Messing with the very creation of human
being, manipulating the characteristics of who a person should really be, is what is
being “achieved” by the vicious AI today. Scared yet?
Last, but the most agonizing one for us ambitious university students; the
automation of jobs. Today we don’t argue about AI becoming the displacement of
job industry, instead we advocate how FAR the extents of AI will reach in the work
environment. Today some of the janitors may lose their jobs to vacuums, tomorrow
the entire cleaning staff will get replaced by automated cleaning machines that can
polish your floors to squeak. Apply this example to all your dreams and ambitions
and fathom how AI can replace you in the flick of the moment. Today, the audio
recorder types out your business proposal document for you, tomorrow, AI will
have its own business generation no longer needing your human service. Today, a
vending machine makes coffee for you, tomorrow, the entire restaurant sector out

Having “real” deepfakes of us, having altered genes in our personals and a world that
no longer requires the services or intelligence of humans are all reasons more than
