A Track of the SE Program (SE-CYS)
INTRODUCTION
Due to recent developments in the area of information technology and the fast evolution of technology,
most of the organizations either local or international are now placing their valuable data on computer
systems that are exposed to public. Without proper protection, this data can be easily accessed,
compromised or even damaged. Cybersecurity is becoming a major concern for public and private
organizations. The College of Computer and Information Sciences at Prince Sultan University has approved
a cyber security track. This track will provide students with the abilities and skills to deal with emerging
technologies and approaches in the area of Cybersecurity.
Students in any of the three undergraduate programs offered: Computer Science, Information Systems
and/or Software Engineering are eligible to opt for this track. Students that have completed the junior year
in the above programs would have to take the five courses defined in the track, substituting the elective
courses in their existing plans in order to complete the cyber security track requirements.
TRAK OBJECTIVES | LEARNING OUTCOMES
In addition to SE seven learning Outcomes, the Cyber Security track enables students after graduation to:

TRACK REQUIREMENTS:
Students taking the Cyber Security track are required to complete the following five courses:
● CYS 401 Fundamentals of Cybersecurity
● CYS 402 Secure Software Development
● CYS 403 Security Risk Management, Governance & Control
● CYS 404 Cyber-Physical Systems Security
