Chapter 5



                Formation and Terms of Reference of
                    the Student Conduct Committee





             Article 20
             A.  A  «Student  Conduct  Committee»  shall  be  formed  by  a
                 permanent  decision  of  the  Vice  President  for  Academic
                 Affairs, which membership shall be automatically renewed
                 unless the competent authority issues a decision to the
                 contrary. The committee shall consist of five members of
                 the university's faculty members, taking into consideration
                 that one of the members is specialized in law. The Vice
                 President for Academic Affairs shall appoint from among
                 the  members  a  president  and  a  vice  president  for  the
                 committee.
             B.  The  committee  referred  to  in  the  previous  paragraph
                 shall  be  competent  to  investigating  and  approving  the
                 appropriate  penalty  in  all  violations  referred  to  it  by  a
                 decision of the competent authority. The committee also
                 may  propose  assistance  from  the  Deanship  of  Student
                 Affairs  at  the  university  or  any  competent  unit  to  carry
                 out  the  investigation  procedures  whenever  it  deems
                 appropriate.
