PSU Translation & Authoring Center

Overview

The Translation and Authoring Center TAC is highly professional specialized translation center that was established on September 2017. It caters to the translation and language solutions needs of Prince Sultan University. Additionally, it provides translation and editing services to local and regional entities.

TAC is aiming to improve the quality of translation services and language services through establishing a strong training program for staff and students. By establishing a rigorous system of quality assurance and quality control, TAC is aiming to provide a high quality translation and editing services for the university and the local community. To enhance the quality of translation in general to provide a platform for translators and translation students through which they can communicate and benefit from each other, TAC organized a series of seminars and two specialized forums that were open to the public community. TAC organized the University translation competition and the Translation Exhibit that included some of the most significant university translation centers in Saudi Arabia. TAC also organized the Students Translation Award.

In terms of promoting publishing of books by PSU faculty members, TAC managed to publish two books authored by PSU faculty members and is continuously offering academic and administrative support to current book authoring projects as it is one of TAC’s main aims to encourage faculty members to translate and write books.

The mission of the Translation and Authoring Center (TAC) is to provide high quality and specialized language services to meet the needs of PSU, local community and International partners. It also aims at promoting translation activities and book authoring amongst the faculty members and students.
