Learn about the services provided by the Saudi Authority for session, Prof. Karray presented the recent trends and significant
Intellectual Property advances in the field of AI with an emphasis on operational
artificial intelligence (OAI). He highlighted the milestones that
have led to the current growth in AI and OAI and the role of
academic institutions. Prof. Karray also discussed some of the
significant achievements in the field of OAI and enumerated the
challenges in making the field of AI beneficial to humanity and
safe for society.
Prof. Karray spent three days touring Prince Sultan University from
March 13-15, 2023. During this time, he met with Dr. Mohammed
Al-Sharaa, Dean of the College of Computer and Information
Sciences (CCIS), CCIS Department Chairs, and the leaders of the
CCIS research labs. He also met with the Robotics and Internet-of-
Things Lab’s AI team.
