About the Graduate Studies Unit

Despite its relatively young age, Prince Sultan University has presented itself
as one of the leading private universities in the Middle East. With focus on
both quality education and research, PSU is rising fast among international
institutions of higher education. PSU sees itself as a primary player in
the push towards the ambitious goals of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Preparing enlightened minds, training skilled individuals, conducting
advanced research, stimulating knowledge-based economy, reaching out
to the community are some of the banner dimensions of PSU’s philosophy
and actions.
The Graduate Studies Unit (GSU) is tasked with overseeing the creation,
operation, optimization, and assessment of post-graduate programs.
Currently, there are five masters-level programs operating in PSU, they
nested under different colleges. While the inner academic affairs of each
program is aptly handled within its respective college, the GSU ensures
that all academic and administrative matters fall within acknowledged
regulations of the country’s educational system and PSU’s own guidelines.
The GSU also maintains close coordination with colleges in order to assess all
aspects of post-graduate programs and suggest modifications accordingly.

The Graduate Studies Unit aspires to become a leader in Graduate
Education through facilitating internationally distinguished and highly
ranked graduate programs and fostering academic excellence and lifelong
learning.

Mission

The Graduate Studies Unit (GSU), as a partner with colleges, is committed to
facilitating graduate education of the highest quality in the Middle East. GSU
oversees policies and processes that define the best practices for graduate
programs and guarantee their academic integrity university-wide. GSU
also provides outstanding support services and significant academic and
professional development opportunities for graduate students and faculty.
Additionally, GSU fosters quality in research and scholarship to nurture the
next generation of academic/research community.
GSU is determined to prepare graduates for distinguished careers that meet
their diverse interests and qualifications in the fields of research, teaching,
public service and the industry. The rigors of the graduate programs
empower students to address national and world challenges.
