Women in Data Science(WiDS)forum organized by Prince Sultan University(PSU) in collaboration with Stanford University, aims to foster interest and professional participation by women in not only data science but also in engineering and computer science as a whole. PSUxStanford WiDS will bring together high profile international researchers and industry pioneers. Prince Sultan University (PSU) is the WiDS Ambassador, for Stanford and the forum aims to expose the latest data science research and practices in the Arab Middle East by promoting the exchange of ideas, encouraging mentorship and interdisciplinary collaboration.
PSU is the first university to address data science in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in partnership with the Stanford Institute for Computational and Mathematical Engineering @ Stanford. Guest speakers will include Arab and international female data scientists in academia, corporations, and start-ups. This is a global event represented by PSU in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Global WiDS conference aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and to support women in the field. This one-day technical conference provides an opportunity to hear about the latest data science-related research and applications in a number of domains, and connect with others in the field.
Ambassador WiDS Prince Sultan University
Dr.Tanzila Saba received her PhD degree in Document’s Information Security and Management from Faculty of Computing Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia in 2012 and won the best student award in the Faculty of Computing UTM 2012. She received the Unesco, TWAS and HEC scholarships for outstanding research output. Currently, she is serving as an IS Associate Chair in College of Computer and Information Sciences Prince Sultan University. Her focused research area is Machine Learning including health informatics, text mining, forensic documents analysis & security. She has published more than 100 research articles and around 90 research papers are Scopus/ISI/SCIE indexed. Due to her excellent research achievement, she is included in Marquis Who’s Who 2012. She has been awarded the Outstanding Research Recognition award consecutively for 2014, 2015 & 2016 in Prince Sultan University.
