Conference Overview

Women in Data Science(WiDS)forum organized by Prince Sultan University(PSU) in collaboration with Stanford University's WIDS initiative, aims to foster interest and professional participation by women in not only data science but also in engineering and computer science as a whole. WiDS Riyadh@PSU will bring together high profile international researchers and industry pioneers. Prince Sultan University (PSU) is the WiDS Ambassador, and the forum aims to expose the latest data science research and practices in the Arab Middle East by promoting the exchange of ideas, encouraging mentorship and interdisciplinary collaboration.

PSU is the first university to address data science in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Guest speakers will include Arab and international female data scientists in academia, corporations, and start-ups. This is a global event represented by PSU in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Significance of WiDS at Prince Sultan University



The Global WiDS conference aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and to support women in the field. This one-day technical conference provides an opportunity to hear about the latest data science-related research and applications in a number of domains, and connect with others in the field.

  • • Promote a higher representation of women in data science.
  • • Expose the latest data science research and practices in the Arab Middle East.
