Almost every computer with access to the Internet can run a web browser to gain access to information on the World Wide Web (WWW).

If you are using a web browser on your own computer either on the University network or at home, our information sheet giving guidelines for configuring the browser will give you useful information about optimizing settings and might save you time.

Web browsers need to be configured to use the cache instead of going direct to the file on the web, and detailed instructions for this configuration are available.
