Email
If you have a PSU account, then your email address will
look like this xxxxx@yyy.psu.edu.sa, where xxxxx is your "user
identifier" and yyy is "department". You normally also have an
alternative address, xxxxx@psu.edu.sa, and mail addressed to you
like this will also arrive.
If you are forwarding your mail outside PSU, you should be aware
that support staff within the University and Colleges will not be
able to help you with email problems where these involve external
systems. Note also that there may be issues of privacy and/or
reliability with external email systems which you should consider.
University and College administrative and teaching staff are
unlikely to be sympathetic to problems arising from such forwarding.
When you leave the University your Computing Service accounts will
be closed and your email address will no longer work. The has a
scheme for lifetime email forwarding addresses for alumni of the
University.
You can also check your email from outside the university campus, by
using webmail
The University actively promotes the use of e-mail on campus and
makes e-mail accounts easily available to staff, Faculty and
students.

For more information about e-mail, staff should contact their local
support person or the Helpdesk in PSU campus on extension 8993. or

You should not expect email privacy when connected to the Prince
Sultan University network. University staff may inadvertently be
exposed to email in the course of their work. In cases where
information is inadvertently exposed, staffs are required to keep
the contents confidential. Remember that email is easily
redistributed and may be read by people beyond the original
