Brief Bio
Basit Qureshi
is currently with the College of Computer & Information Science at [Prince
Sultan University]. He received his PhD degree in Computer Science from [University
of Bradford] in the year 2011 under the supervision of
Dr.
Geyong Min. Prior to that he received his Master
of Science degree in Computer Science from [Florida
Atlantic University] in 2002 and his Bachelor of Science degree in
Computer Science from [Ohio
University], OH USA in 2000. His research interests
include Wireless Networks
Security, Trust security and privacy (TSP) in wireless networks and TSP in P2P applications for Mobile Ad Hoc wireless Networks.
To date he has published in various reputable international journals and conferences. He
received the best faculty teaching award from PSU in 2008/9 and is listed in
Marquis Who's Who in the world 2009 ed. He also receievd the best paper award at
the 6th IEEE/IEFP Trustcom 2010 held in Hongkong. He is a member of
IEEE,
IEEE Computer Society,
IEEE Communication Society and
ACM.

During my Master degree program at Florida
Atlantic University I was awarded a research assistantship at TSI Global Inc,
Ft. Lauderdale FL and Motorola Inc, Plantation FL during 2001-2002. During this
period of time I was involved in development of software for Mobile devices and
database systems.
